After asking 2 police staff and getting 2 different answers does any one have experience of a visit from the police to check that weapon and ammo are stored correctly. ...?..??
My proposal was to use an old oak chest its 5mm thick add a new hasp and padlock and keep the ammo in a steel locking cash box seperatley away from the gun.
Its way more substantial than the cabinets that can be bought and opened with a screwdriver blade and not obvious as to whats inside as its a peice of furniture unlike these cabinets which Stevie Wonder could recognise.
I got two differing opinions ranging from NO to thats overkill and a much better solution I will add i showed them photo and drawing of my proposal which i will add to this post later.
And yes i did read the document i could find online but its very wooley and open to interpretation in different ways maybe i will never get a visit but im an easy target as foriegner even with my Serbian Id and passport.
Thanks for reading
